I think it is open as it is open all year round. By the way, you can not reserve the 1F beer hall, so when it is crowded you will be waiting in line.
As mentioned above, it seems to be 1972. During the war, there were no urban legends, as the stationed forces were needed as a place of rest to survive the Tokyo Great Air Raid.
Great architecture. Great steak.
Food, drinks, and atmosphere were excellent. Kids loved the food and the ambiance. A must see while in Ginza of Tokyo. Let the wife shop while you kick back at a German Beer hall.
They had live German music and a wonderful atmosphere. Excellent for and beer a well. I would return here any time!
Traditional Japanese pub with good services.
Slightly bizarre but good fun. Food surprisingly good.
A building with a high ceiling and feel history. You can eat delicious food with pleasure.
Since 1899, old and classical beer place.
Wonderful little place. So unexpected to find an old-school German Bier Keller in the heart of Tokyo. Lovely atmosphere, drinks and food. The staff were very attentive despite the place being very busy.
Nice cold beer, also historical beer hall.
Fabulous bear hall. The foods a bit basic, the garlic bread is Massive tho. They have the beers cover light half and half and dark. Plus for Tokyo it reasonably priced. There are a few in the greater Tokyo area so just try them all
So so food and pricey. Catered to westerners. Was at the beer hall (1st floor) for the experience/atmosphere: Some servers were friendlier than others. Steak was dry. Fun beer hall and that’s about it.
Great place for a beer, ale or what ever style brews you fancy, and great food too with the drinks. Wide selection of food and drinks. Not to be missed.
Very lively place, the atmosphere inside makes you happy. The beer selection is good and they have great tasting snacks, but prepare to pay for it. I paid $5 for one shrimp tempura.. walked out spending over a hundred for few beers and couple of snacks.
A little bit weird, a fake German beer hall, with Japanese opera singers, singing 🇩🇪 beer songs, but fine for an after work jar or two
Nice Sapporo beer.
food was great! and atmosphere is nice.
Service is great, very attentive waiters.. And the interior is classy..
very nice ambience . little bit expensive
Food ok. Overcharged us, which we didn’t pick up due to language. Expensive for what you get, even without the overcharge error.
Surreal German look alike beer stube amidst Ginza. Worth having a Sapporo beer at.
Good beer, great bathroom, bad fried onion.
nice food, nice beer!!
Always outstanding place, service and Staff are excellent food is great and the beer, priceis also good.
Food was absolutely phenomenal and was served to us in minutes.
So many types of nice cold beer
Okay place. Nothing super especial.
This is one of my favorite places in Tokyo. Fun atmosphere in a beautiful space with a long history. The beers are better quality than what you get in cheaper bars.
What an architectural oasis in the middle of Ginza! Yes, of course, go for a beer in the first beer hall in Tokyo, but enjoy the 1930s perfection.
It's a neat place with a Bavarian theme. Big menu but the food was just ok. The beer was cold and the staff was attentive, so that was good. It was very busy.
nice service. limited varieties of beer. but worth it
Good food and beer! An affordable option for lunch in Ginza, very cool architecture inside.
Good beer and good food, was a pretty lively place with a some German singing to boot, good stop for a bite on Friday night.
Great beers and snacks at decent enough prices. Service is impeccable and really nice atmospheric setting.
Good food and ambience.
We landed at lion last night for a quick beer, to our delight at 7pm the staff broke into song, with roaming minstrels no less!!Worth a visit for the history and the mosaic, as well
Beer was good (first floor is drinks only). However our waitress didn't really pay attention to us and I'm pretty sure ignored us to the best of her ability (we wanted to order the snacks they allow on the first floor).
Nice place.. makes you feel like you're in a German bar.. prices are ok.. beers are a bit expensive.. food isn't great.. but service is good.. I guess I'll have to go with 3 stars on this one.
Good beer
Interesting building in Ginza. Worth the stop for a beer!
I had lunch and dinner in so many places in Tokyo and I loved them, but this was the worst! Food was too oily and old! :S my stomach is upset now....
Everything was ok..but kinda hard to communicate due to non english speaking staff
So wonderful to be in a sort of Bier Keller on the Ginza, excellent beer and staff dressed accordingly, proper Keller outfits, excellent beer selection, didn't have food but it all looked more than good.
A fantastic beer Hall, such a beautiful building inside. Great selection of beers and a wide menu
Authentic Beer-hall in a sense for elder generations of Japanese: enjoying variaty type of draft beers.
Not as delicious as I expected...
German-style beer house in Tokyo. With Asian beers.
Traditional Japanese-western styled beer hall
Awesome beer hall with great food and friendly service
Like a mini octoberfest
Food was really good, the staff were pushy and not very welcoming.
